Ep 373: Is it finally going to plan for Evoke?

Last week, Evoke reported its “first quarter of year-on-year growth since Q1 2022”, marking the gambling group’s first period of sustained growth since its £2bn acquisition of William Hill. Management highlighted a 3% increase in corporate revenues, driven by double-digit growth in the core markets of Denmark, Italy and Spain.

On today’s episode of iGaming Daily, supported by Optimove, Ted Menmuir, SBC’s Content Director, was joined by the Editor of CasinoBeats, Joe Streeter, to talk about Evoke’s turnaround in Q3 throughout its core markets.

Despite the positive results, Evoke’s performance was weighed down by clear disparities in the UK, as online casino growth was hampered by declining sports betting results and continued retail declines.

The duo discuss some of the reasons for the disparity in the UK, if Evoke is fixing its William Hill affairs and how exposed it will be to any potential changes to the UK gambling’s tax during the upcoming budget.
