Ep 129: A short history of fantasy sports with Rick Wolf

From Woodrow Wilson to Garrett Wilson, fantasy sports has a long and rich history in the United States, and with the present and future of fantasy, and especially daily fantasy (dfs) in the headlines at the moment, we thought we'd take a look at the origins and development of fantasy over the years, and why we're having the same conversations now as we were having 30+ years ago.

To tackle this topic, SBC Americas host Jessica Welman and Sports Betting Hall of Famer Sue Schneider were joined on the podcast by Fantasy Sports pioneer, and a board member of the Fantasy Sports Trade Association, Rick Wolf. Rick is the Senior Vice President B2B Partnerships at Spotlight Sports, and formerly held Fantasy Sports positions at CBS Sports and NBC Sports, and spent a decade as Executive Vice President of Rotoworld, making him the ideal person to take us through the history of fantasy.
